Customizing Assist Levels: Tailoring Your PowerUpdated 13 days ago
Your LYNQ e-bike is powered by a high-performance 48V system and the proprietary PedalSense™ torque-sensing technology. Because every rider and every journey is unique, you can customize how the motor delivers power through your touch display and the LYNQ app.
Understanding the 48V Power Curve
Unlike standard 36V systems, LYNQ’s 48V architecture provides higher torque and more consistent power throughout the battery's charge cycle. Customizing your assist levels allows you to decide whether you want maximum exercise, maximum range, or maximum speed.
How to Adjust Your Assist
You can change your assist levels on the fly using the onboard interface:
- Touch Display Access: Use the 2.8-inch (Current) or 4.8-inch (Loop/Relay) touch display to toggle through the five standard assist levels.
- App Integration: For deeper customization, the LYNQ app allows you to tune the "acceleration curve" and responsiveness of the PedalSense™ algorithm.
- Real-Time Feedback: As you adjust levels, your display will provide updated estimates of your remaining range based on your current power consumption.
The Five Standard Assist Levels
- Level 1 (Eco): Provides minimal assistance, ideal for flat terrain and maximizing your 34-mile range.
- Level 2 (Touring): A balanced mode that offsets the weight of the bike for a natural cycling feel.
- Level 3 (Commute): The "sweet spot" for LYNQ Current riders, offering enough power to cruise at 20 mph without significant effort.
- Level 4 (Sport): Increases torque for quicker starts at intersections and tackling moderate hills.
- Level 5 (Boost): Delivers the full 750W peak power (Relay/Loop) for heavy cargo or steep inclines.
Customizing for Specific Use Cases
- Cargo Hauling (Relay): If you frequently carry heavy loads, you can use the app to set a higher "Initial Torque" so the bike helps you get moving more easily from a dead stop.
- Range Anxiety: If you have a long commute, you can cap the motor's top speed in the app to ensure you have enough battery to finish your trip.
- Fitness Mode: You can set a "Zero Assist" level while keeping the display active to track your stats and contribute to the LYNQ Connection Program through your own effort.
